We get along pretty well and we love small things and we know how to share them in every moment. Hospitality is part of our DNA and we are not keeping it a secret, every time we meet a traveller, arriving to visit our villages, beaches and countryside. We measure the quality of our tourist services by measuring the large smiles of the guests of our farmhouses and of the people dining at our tables. A happy traveller who visits the Coast of Angels is our greatest satisfaction, but, to achieve it, we actually do not do anything special. We do not build simulated experiences, we create packages of sophisticated activities. We are simply ourselves. A community of people from Calabria, looking towards the Ionian Sea, with our back well covered by the nature of the Serre Calabresi Regional Park. We are a community of people, who love their land and who preserve its culture and traditions in order to convey them to others.

Unmissable experiences

Maybe, it might seem a nonsense activity, maybe even obvious. But, if you are a person, who recognises the human value of the places and the territories, you visit when you are on vacation, then you’ll certainly not make a mistake if you dedicate some time walking without a destination among the alleys of one or more of our historical centres. Each Village of the Angels features a maze of alleys and paths with glimpses on some of the most beautiful landscapes in Calabria. But, this is not the only thing you’ll find. The landscapes, the blue of the Ionian Sea  and the green of our hills will be the background to the smile of the people, to the strong and heavy accent of Calabria, which recalls Spanish and Arabic soundalikes, this being a clear but untouchable sign of the people, passing over these lands during the course of history. For instance, you can find this great variety in the alleys of Badolato, where foreign citizens of all origins, from the South of the world to the Scandinavian countries, fill with their voices and colours the outdoor tables of the bars, the balconies and the windowsills. We will never ignore you or lose the opportunity to have a nice talk, just smile back and be curious. That will do it! It is from the small gestures that unique memories arise and in our villages you will discover that this is a holy rule, just let go and be open for discoveries.

If you are a curious person and you like to talk with the people of the places you are visiting, it will not be hard to find yourself having coffee or a drink at someone’s house. The same thing will definitely occur if you show your sympathy at the bar or in any other public place. In Calabria, hospitality is sacred for us and it is made of small, big, sincere gestures. If you want to look into this approach and, apart from a free talk, you want to closely discover the features as well as the activities, which can be implemented in our destination, you have the chance to take part in fun and shared cooking lessons in our homes, maybe tasting a great local wine on a terrace with a view, while the sun sets on the horizon…and your hands still full of fresh pasta dough. But, more to it, all year round, you can take part with us in the classic farm activities, which characterise the daily life of our community: harvesting of olives and the processing of new oil, grape harvesting and production of wine with artisan methods, production of preserves, dried tomatoes and all that belongs to our envied diet.
